Lucknow: Chief secretary SP Goyal was informed at a meeting on Tuesday that 99 MoUs had been signed to set up charging stations under the PM E-DRIVE scheme for electric vehicles, against 238 sites identified across the state. Directing officials to take up the remaining sites at the earliest, CS said that under the second phase of PM E-DRIVE, a target has been set to identify 1,500 locations for installing charging stations. Directing officials to release compensation to affected families, he said that families who lost their houses should be considered under PM and CM housing schemes. “Applications received under PM Fasal Bima Yojana for crop losses due to excessive rainfall should be disposed of as soon as possible,” CS said. He directed district magistrates to identify suitable sites in their districts for the charging stations and send proposals to concerned department. The CS reviewed relief and rescue work in light of the rainfall that affected parts of the state last week. He also instructed officials to get crop damage assessed and ensure that compensation is distributed soon.
