Lucknow: After Jaipur, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru, leading voices from govt, industry and renewable energy sector gathered in Lucknow on Thursday for the sixth regional roadshow for the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo (BRE Summit) 2026.
Uttar Pradesh’s Commitment to Renewable Energy
During a recent roadshow organized by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Uttar Pradesh’s Energy Minister, AK Sharma, emphasized the state’s dedication to leading India’s transition to clean energy. He stated that UP aims to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy while fostering an environment that encourages investment, innovation, and participation from industry stakeholders.
Additional chief secretary, energy, Ashish Kumar Goel said, “UP is rapidly emerging as a significant force in India’s renewable energy landscape, supported by a progressive policy framework. With robust transmission infrastructure, the state is well positioned to support the next phase of clean energy growth.”
