Lucknow: Scientists and industry leaders at the 85th Foundation Day celebrations of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) at Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IITR) on Monday said science must move beyond laboratories and research papers to deliver technologies that reach people.
They said emerging areas including artificial intelligence, synthetic biology, advanced computing, personalised healthcare, telemedicine, low-cost diagnostics and next-generation risk assessment are likely to shape the next decade of applied research and public-facing technologies. As part of the event, CSIR-IITR exchanged Memoranda of Agreement with startups and technology incubatees, reflecting efforts to convert research outputs into usable applications and strengthen its innovation ecosystem.
