Prayagraj : Found absent from the Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas at Chail tehsil in Kaushambi, nine officials will find their salaries withheld until they explain their absence. Meanwhile, adverse entries were ordered against Nayab Nazir and SDM, Chail, for lapses in record-keeping, disposal of complaints, handling of gram sabha land matters and civic sanitation. The action was taken during a surprise inspection by divisional commissioner Lokesh M. The commissioner inspected the proceedings of Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas and interacted with complainants to assess whether their grievances were being addressed. He directed officials to ensure quality and time-bound disposal of complaints. The nine absent officials included district development officer, project director, deputy director agriculture, district sugarcane officer, district backward classes welfare officer, district minority welfare officer, deputy director consolidation, secretary development authority and supply inspector, Chail. Taking stock of records of previous samadhan diwas proceedings, Lokesh M found irregularities and incomplete disposal reports in the registers. He ordered an adverse entry against Nayab Nazir for failing to properly record complaints, update registers and maintain official records. SDM, Chail, too faces an adverse entry over lapses in the timely disposal of gram sabha land-related cases, maintenance of relevant registers, supervision of work and sanitation arrangements in the urban local body. He stressed that Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas is an important govt mechanism and the presence of concerned departmental officials is essential for effective grievance redressal. Later, Lokesh M inspected Community Health Centre, Sarai Akil, being developed as Kaushambi’s model CHC. Most facilities and arrangements were found satisfactory. However, considering the high patient footfall, chief medical officer was directed to prepare and send a project to govt for construction of a larger building and expansion of the health centre’s capacity.
