Kanpur: A 38-year-old govt school teacher was allegedly found dead inside his car parked in the parking area of his rented accommodation in Bharthana, Etawah, on Friday.
The body was found lying on the fully reclined driver’s seat and was believed to be around 24 hours old, police said. Bharthana station house officer Vikram Singh said the preliminary investigation suggested that Yadav might have died due to suffocation as the car was locked.
Residents said Yadav regularly parked his car at the spot and initially did not suspect anything unusual. “The exact cause of death will be confirmed after the postmortem examination,” he said. The deceased has been identified as Sanjeev Yadav, a resident of Auraiya. However, their suspicions grew when the vehicle remained parked overnight with Yadav still inside. After receiving the information, police reached the spot and broke a window of the vehicle to retrieve the body.
