Rescue operation underway at the site
They said villagers had to begin the rescue operation as police did not arrive on time. Mukesh, a resident of Hirni village, used to support his family by doing wage labour, according to police. Villagers began removing the debris after hearing the crash and informed police and the administration. The victims were pulled out after about two hours and taken to Patara Community Health Centre, where Mukesh and his three daughters were declared dead. Mukesh’s relatives accused Saadh police of negligence, alleging that repeated calls from family members initially went unanswered. His wife had already died. He lived with his four daughters in a two-storey mud house.

The family of the victims has alleged that the health centre was understaffed at the time of the incident, which they believe led to delays in treatment. They assert that timely medical intervention could have saved lives and are calling for an impartial investigation into the matter, along with accountability for those involved.
In response, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed his condolences and instructed officials to ensure that the injured receive proper medical care. He also emphasized the need to provide all necessary support to the bereaved family.
