Only one pump has been deployed to drain the accumulated water, according to residents. Though officials visited the area and inspected the situation, they said no effective solution had followed.

Many families remain confined to their homes, while residents have been forced to wade through dirty water for essential work. Residents alleged that water was being pumped out from one side of the affected localities and discharged onto the road, leading to flooding on Mainawati Marg. Potholes have further made the waterlogged stretch difficult and risky to cross.
