Kanpur: The state government has initiated plans to renovate the renowned Green Park cricket stadium by inviting tenders for an architectural consultant. This consultant will be responsible for creating the stadium’s design, as well as preparing a detailed project report (DPR), drawings, and tender documents for the upcoming construction work. The renovation is projected to cost approximately Rs 350 crore and is expected to commence in January or February 2027.
The technical cell of the Uttar Pradesh Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Mission issued the Request for Proposal (RFP) on September 14, inviting applications from interested architectural consultants. Companies can submit their proposals between September 18 and October 8. The technical bids will be opened on October 8 in the evening. The selected companies will have to submit their original documents before the technical cell in Lucknow on October 9. The architectural consultant selected for the project will then be required to prepare the stadium design and DPR within 75 days. The renovation work is expected to begin in Jan or Feb 2027. The total estimated cost of the Green Park renovation project is around Rs 350 crore.
