Lucknow: A total of 412 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) were signed on the second day of UPITS 2026 on Saturday, paving the way for business worth an estimated Rs 450 crore. Officials said the exhibition saw intensive deal-making, with about 4,700 business-to-business (B2B) meetings between international buyers and state exhibitors. Saturday’s trade activity followed a busy opening day, which saw more than 2,800 meetings involving about 500 local enterprises and generated initial business enquiries worth Rs 140 crore. With delegations from several partner countries participating across product and service categories, officials expect the number of commercial agreements to rise further before the trade show concludes on Sept 29.

Organisers said structured reverse buyer-seller meets provided an effective platform for cross-border negotiations without intermediaries. The direct buyer-seller interactions are part of CM Yogi Adityanath ’s ‘Local to Global’ initiative, which aims to connect regional MSMEs, manufacturers and artisans directly with foreign markets.
