On Sunday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Chitrakoot to distribute relief funds to residents affected by recent flooding. His inspection aimed to assess the damage and support recovery efforts for those impacted by the disaster.
Yogi also directed distribution of the relief kits among affected people within 48 hours. “Every possible assistance shall be provided to the families who have sustained damages or losses due to the floods.
Directing senior administrative officials deputed in the district as well as in his own office to carry out an exhaustive damage assessment exercise, Yogi said immediate survey and inspection of residential, agricultural, commercial and temples and mutts need to be undertaken. Assessment of damage to their crops shall also take place in order to extend compensation to them at the earliest,” said Yogi. “Govt will extend necessary support for the preservation of these religious and cultural sites,” he said. The administration should remain continuously present among affected families,” he said. “Health department teams and workers should remain available,” he said.
