Lucknow: Cloudy skies and light showers brought some relief to residents on Tuesday from humid conditions.

Rainfall and Temperature Trends in Lucknow

From 8:30 am on Monday to 8:30 am on Tuesday, Aliganj recorded the highest rainfall in Lucknow at 26.2 mm. Hanuman Setu followed with 6.6 mm, while Malihabad and Mohanlalganj received 2.5 mm and 2.1 mm, respectively. Lucknow airport reported 1.4 mm of rainfall during the same period.

The relative humidity levels remained elevated, ranging from 80% to 94%. The maximum temperature was noted at 30.4 degrees Celsius, which is 3.3 degrees below the seasonal average. Conversely, the minimum temperature was recorded at 27.4 degrees Celsius, exceeding the normal by two degrees.

Across the state, Azamgarh recorded the highest rainfall at 180 mm, followed by Varanasi at 128 mm and Sonbhadra at 120 mm. The weather department has forecast overcast skies with rain and thundershowers across the city over the next two days. Mohammad Danish, senior scientist at the Regional Meteorological Centre at Lucknow, informed that a monsoon trough line is passing from central and eastern UP, which is resulting in a rain spell across the region.
