Lucknow: Lucknow traffic police seized more than 500 modified motorcycle silencers during a 10-day drive and are now considering destroying the confiscated exhausts to prevent their reuse.
Between Sept 2 and 11, traffic personnel checked nearly 6,000 two-wheelers and removed 510 modified silencers. The largest haul came on Sept 5, when police checked 865 vehicles, issued 140 challans, seized eight vehicles and removed 100 modified silencers.
