Deployment of Rovers Enhances Land Measurement Efficiency
Two Rovers have been deployed at the Consolidation Training Centre in Hardoi, while an additional nine have been assigned to lekhpal training institutes. This strategic deployment aims to improve land measurement processes.
Kanchan Verma, commissioner and secretary of the Board of Revenue, stated, “The use of Rovers is making land measurement faster and more accurate.” This advancement reflects a significant step in leveraging technology for efficient land management.
In UP, it is being used to provide information with an accuracy of approximately 1 to 5 cm.
Verma said that GNSS Rover was a modern survey instrument that determines the precise position of a point on the ground based on signals received from various satellite systems. It is also reducing damage to crops, which used to take place during manual calculations when one needed to move from field to field,” Verma said.
