GHAZIABAD: More than 100 potholes have emerged on main roads, internal streets and service lanes in Shalimar Garden following heavy rain, causing difficulties for motorists, two-wheeler riders and pedestrians. He also sought urgent patchwork or repairs for the more than 100 potholes, reconstruction or re-carpeting of severely damaged roads, inspection of drainage systems to prevent further deterioration and the use of quality materials for durable repairs. Residents said deep potholes have made roads dangerous, with elderly people and other vulnerable groups particularly at risk. Locals said the condition of the roads continues to worsen as the upper layer disintegrates with every spell of rain.
