Lucknow: The Regional Passport Office (RPO), Lucknow, has launched a special outreach campaign titled “Passport First, Opportunities Next” to encourage young people to obtain their first passport and prepare for global academic and career opportunities.
Eligible applicants can book appointments from Oct 6 through the Passport Seva Portal (passportindia.gov.in) at the Passport Seva Kendra nearest to them.
The campaign seeks to ensure that young applicants have passports well in advance so they can take advantage of opportunities related to higher education, research, skill training, academic exchange programmes and other international engagements without delays caused by documentation, according to the Regional Passport Office. The initiative is targeted at students, trainees, research scholars, teachers and others associated with recognised educational and training institutions across Uttar Pradesh.
