Gorakhpur : Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday warned officials of strict action if negligence or delay is found in resolving public grievances, asserting that prompt and sensitive redressal of citizens’ problems remains a priority of the govt.
During the Janata Darshan, the chief minister met around 150 people from different districts and listened to their complaints individually and directed officials to ensure timely, transparent and satisfactory disposal of every complaint.
He said no one should face injustice and stressed that officials must adopt a sensitive approach while assisting people in distress. Referring applications to the concerned departments, he instructed officials to act with urgency and accountability.
The chief minister also directed authorities to take stringent legal action against those involved in illegal encroachment of land or attempts to dispossess weaker sections. Several people sought financial assistance for medical treatment during the interaction. The CM asked officials to expedite the preparation of medical estimates and forward them to the government at the earliest, assuring that adequate support would be provided for the treatment of serious illnesses. He fed jaggery to cows and bulls, interacted with the animals and instructed staff to ensure their proper care and welfare.
Earlier in the morning, the chief minister visited the temple cowshed and performed gau-seva.
