A 22-year-old student was killed and two others sustained injuries in a car accident on the Nakkhas flyover in Lucknow late Saturday night. According to police reports, the vehicle allegedly experienced brake failure, leading to the crash into a divider. The incident occurred during the late hours of Saturday, with authorities confirming the details on Sunday.
The accident took place around 11 pm when they were travelling from Haiderganj towards Chowk, according to SHO Chowk Nagesh Upadhyay. He was accompanied by his friends Kaif (22) and Abdul Ali (23),” said police.
“Following Arshad’s death, his family reached the spot and protested,” said the SHO. Police said a case will be registered upon receipt of a formal complaint. “The deceased, Mohammad Arshad, was driving the car. Police added that the family did not permit a post-mortem examination and took the body away. Meanwhile, a critical corridor team and police personnel inspected the accident site and collected necessary information and evidence. The damaged car was taken to the Chowk police station and secured on the premises.
