Gorakhpur : BJP national general secretary and Uttar Pradesh in charge Vinod Tawde ’s late-night visit to the residence of Nishad Party national president and UP minister Sanjay Nishad in Gorakhpur on Friday came amid recent political speculation surrounding Nishad’s meetings with opposition and allied leaders.
He was then introduced to other family members, including Nishad’s wife, daughters-in-law and grandchildren.
Sources said the meeting also included discussions on a range of organisational and political issues. Tawde was welcomed by Nishad, his sons Amit, former MP Praveen Nishad and MLA E Sarvan Nishad. The BJP leader spent considerable time interacting with the family. The visit assumes significance against the backdrop of recent political speculation after Sanjay Nishad met Samajwadi Party leader and Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey, who was unwell. Nishad had also recently met Apna Dal (Sonelal) leader Ashish Patel , fuelling political chatter in the state.
