Union home minister handing over an allotment letter to one of the investors in UP
Lucknow/Gautam Budh Nagar: Union home and cooperation minister Amit Shah on Friday handed letters of allotment to five companies to set up industrial units in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region, in a move aimed at accelerating conversion of investment proposals into on-ground projects.
The allotment letters were presented during the inauguration of UPITS 2026 in Greater Noida. Officials said the five projects together are expected to bring in a capital investment of Rs 469 crore and generate direct employment for 4,625 people. A total land parcel of 71,190 square metres has been earmarked for the units across multiple manufacturing segments, they added.
Officials said presenting allotments at the trade event signals intent to minimise administrative delays and expedite project implementation. During the programme, Shah interacted with company representatives and discussed scaling up manufacturing activity and expanding industrial footprints in Uttar Pradesh .
