The Uttar Pradesh Police’s technology-driven exhibit at the UP International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026 in Greater Noida has emerged as a major crowd-puller, attracting over 15,000 visitors in the first three days of the event.

Lucknow/Gautam Budh Nagar: The five-day mega Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS 2026) in Greater Noida registered a record footfall of over 5.5 lakh visitors in four days till Sept 28. This included more than 1.5 lakh registered domestic business buyers seeking long-term procurement tie-ups and around 4 lakh general visitors exploring the multi-sectoral pavilions across the sprawling venue halls. Business projects worth Rs 5,500 crore have been pledged so far, underscoring state’s expanding manufacturing and export potential. The mega expo, which was inaugurated on Sept 25, has also generated commercial business enquiries exceeding Rs 12,500 crore, establishing the state as an emerging global commerce hub ahead of the event’s concluding day. Official figures up to Sept 28 revealed that 3,765 MoUs were signed across key sectors. Suvidh Shah, additional director general of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations, said 35,387 business-to-business meetings took place over four days. These interactions comprised 11,887 sessions held during the dedicated Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet for overseas delegations, alongside 23,500 meetings conducted in the main exhibition arena between domestic and international buyers. With one full day of commercial deliberations remaining on Sept 29, officials noted that overall procurement values, finalised MoUs, and interaction metrics are expected to climb further. The performance of UPITS 4.0 illustrates how improved ease of doing business, modernised logistics, and aggressive industrial promotion have converged to elevate UP’s indigenous products onto the world trade map. Addressing a session on the Uttar Pradesh Food Processing Policy 2023, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya stressed the need to link the state’s farm output with local value addition, noting that localized processing creates direct opportunities for rural youth and farmers. Focusing on governance, Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna highlighted that strict fiscal discipline and banking support have catalyzed steady expansion across manufacturing, agriculture, and services, helping nearly 9.5 lakh youth secure employment.

Trade engagement remains robust at the pavilions setup at the event. The heavy volume of inquiries highlights UPITS’s shift from a conventional showcase into an outcome-oriented trade engine. Entrepreneurs representing micro, small, and medium enterprises, the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative, handlooms, handicrafts, food processing, agri-products, and modern engineering secured structured access to global procurement heads without intermediary friction. In a parallel discussion on financial delivery systems, Cabinet Minister for MSME Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary emphasized creating an ecosystem ensuring small units gain reliable access to institutional credit, technology, and emerging markets. In another strategic session hosted by UPEIDA, titled ‘From Your Factory to the Front Line’, Minister for Industrial Development and Export Promotion Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ pointed out that UPITS is actively positioning local MSMEs and high-value manufacturers to tap into expanding defence manufacturing supply chains.
