Ranjana told police that she received a call from Adil around 7pm on October 9, informing her that Sharma’s condition had worsened and that he was being taken to King George’s Medical University (KGMU). The report notes tears in both lungs, injuries to the liver and spleen, substantial internal bleeding and a fracture of the right pelvic bone. Doctors attributed his death to shock and haemorrhage resulting from the injuries. Police are investigating whether Sharma jumped, was pushed or fell accidentally. Investigators are examining CCTV footage, witness statements and physical evidence from the scene to reconstruct the sequence of events. Hazratganj police have registered an FIR based on her complaint. The allegations have not yet been established. Police have yet to establish these allegations.
