Yogi accused those spreading anarchy of being opposed to farmers, women and India’s security

The emergence of CCTV footage has added a fresh dimension to the case

Gorakhpur : In an apparent attack on the opposition, chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday described street protests as “anti-farmer and anti-women”, alleging that they were a deliberate attempt to create a “manufactured atmosphere” of negativity against Prime Minister Narendra Modi ’s good governance.

Addressing a gathering after the inauguration of 84 public welfare projects in the Chauri Chaura assembly constituency, Yogi alleged that corrupt elements were troubled by the Modi govt and that those creating disorder on the streets were working against the interests of the poor.

PM Modi has worked towards improving the lives of underprivileged sections and ensuring their upliftment, he said. Common people must stand up to expose their conspiracy and stop them from furthering their divisive and malicious propaganda,” he said, appealing to people. He said such corrupt elements should not be allowed to disturb law and order and called for a decisive fight against them. Without naming anyone, Yogi said those who had created an identity and security crisis for Uttar Pradesh, deprived youths of employment opportunities, snatched farmers’ prosperity and looted the rights of the poor needed to be guarded against. We must carry forward the momentum of development under the leadership of PM Modi,” he said.

His remarks came on the day INDIA bloc leaders held a mega rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan against alleged electoral irregularities and demanded the resignation of chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. “When the country will celebrate its centenary in some years, these conspirators and anarchists must not be given free rein. Yogi accused those spreading anarchy of being opposed to farmers, women and India’s security, alleging that they supported Naxalism, terrorism and separatism. The common people, he added, must come forward to counter misinformation and propaganda. “People who change colours like chameleons must be exposed.
