Kolkata: ‘Nandigram to Nabanna: Bubair Joyjatra (Bubai’s Journey of Victory)’ will be the theme for the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha Durga Puja at Ruby More, where chief minister Suvendu Adhikari’s political journey will be represented through various visuals and models. Adhikari is popularly known as ‘Bubai’ in his circles. “For the first time in Bengal, the land of Syama Prasad Mookerjee, a Sanatani nationalist BJP govt has been formed under the leadership of chief minister Suvendu Adhikari. The idol of Durga was being molded with soil from an Adi Ganga ghat in Kalighat, which belonged to Hindu Mahasabha, Goswami added. The pandal will chronicle different phases of Adhikari’s life, including his childhood, entry into politics, his roles in various political movements, and his emergence as the chief minister through a combination of models, flex panels, photographs, murals, traditional Bengali patachitra motifs and a documentary. A bust of Adhikari will be placed outside the pandal, while the pandal will be decorated with photographs, including a portrait of Adhikari, displaying moments from his career.
To commemorate this event, we have chosen this theme (‘Nandigram to Nabanna: Bubair Joyjatra’) for Durga Puja,” Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha state president Chandrachur Goswami said on Wednesday.
