Mojang has officially launched the Minecraft Wilderness Bound update, and the excitement amongst the community is at an all-time high. Every new feature feeds into a wilderness and camping aesthetic, rewarding those players who enjoy exploration. In the section below, we break down everything new in the Minecraft Wilderness Bound update patch notes. The Wilderness Bound update introduces a large number of new blocks, structures, and items across Java and Bedrock simultaneously. Here is a full list of everything added: Dappled Forest biome Poplar Trees and fallen Poplar Trees Red Poplar Leaves, Orange Poplar Leaves, and Yellow Poplar Leaves blocks

They can be crafted in 16 coloured variants using 3 Wool Slabs of the same colour, can be placed on any flat surface, and do not have collision, meaning they can overlap with other objects. They can only be used once before being destroyed, cannot be used in the Nether or the End, and are crafted from 3 Hay Bales, yielding 4 Straw Beds per craft. Poplar wood set Shelf Mushrooms Red Shrubs Abandoned Camp structures New Explorer Maps Cushions Straw Beds Wool Stairs and Wool Slabs for all Wool blocks Concrete Stairs and Concrete Slabs for all Concrete blocks Players in Spectator Mode can now interact with portals to teleport Improvements to Realms, including the ability to create and manage Invite Codes Added Gothic language support The Dappled Forest is a brand-new overworld biome found near cold biomes. It features Poplar Trees and fallen Poplar Trees, Shelf Mushrooms placed on logs, and Red Shrubs generating in small patches across the forest floor. Passive and neutral mobs including Sheep, Chickens, Cows, Pigs, Rabbits, and Foxes all spawn here using their cold variants where applicable. Poplar Trees come in three colour variations: red, orange, and yellow, each with its own matching falling leaf particles. Poplar Leaves drop Poplar Saplings that will randomly grow into any of the three variants, and Poplar Saplings can be found in trades with the Wandering Trader. The trunk is made of Poplar Logs, which can be crafted into a full set of Poplar wood blocks. Shelf Mushrooms generate on Poplar Trees and fallen Poplar Trees, coming in small and large variants. A small Shelf Mushroom can be grown into a large one using Bone Meal, and a large Shelf Mushroom drops two Shelf Mushroom items when broken. They can be used like other mushrooms to craft Stews, and they have a slight bounciness when stepped on. Red Shrubs are a new decorative plant block found in small patches in the Dappled Forest. They can be used in the Composter, and using Bone Meal on a Red Shrub grows another one in a random adjacent space. Abandoned Camps are a brand-new structure that generate across a wide variety of biomes, including Meadow, Cherry Grove, Forest, Birch Forest, Taiga, Swamp, Savanna, Wooded Badlands, Pale Garden, and of course the Dappled Forest. Chests and Barrels containing loot can be found at every camp, and new Explorer Maps hidden inside them point players toward other Abandoned Camps or major structures including Ancient Cities, Trial Chambers, Mineshafts, Desert Pyramids, Jungle Pyramids, Warm Ocean Ruins, and Woodland Mansions. Cushions are a new placeable item that players can interact with to sit on. They cannot be moved by pistons and will break if their supporting block is removed. Straw Beds are a new type of bed that let players sleep through the night without changing their spawn point. A new statistic in the Statistics window tracks how many times players have slept in a Straw Bed.
