Minecraft Dungeons II launched on September 29, 2026, and the new dungeon crawler has received a solid reception from the community. Minecraft Dungeons II supports cross-platform play across every system it launched on: PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch, for parties of up to four players. For anyone planning to squad up with friends across different consoles, the good news arrived early: crossplay is fully supported. Yes. This builds on a feature the original Minecraft Dungeons already had, so Mojang carried the functionality forward into the sequel rather than building it from scratch. That hybrid option, officially called Mixed Co-Op, is one of the sequel’s standout multiplayer additions, since the original game required players to choose one mode or the other rather than blending them. Open Settings and look for the Game options section. Once enabled, the setting stays active going forward unless manually turned off from the same menu. Online console multiplayer isn’t entirely free of extra requirements. Xbox players need an active Game Pass tier that includes online multiplayer, while PlayStation players need an active PlayStation Plus subscription to play online. PC players don’t need anything beyond owning the game, and it’s also available through Game Pass on day one as an Xbox Play Anywhere title. To conclude it all, squads spread across different consoles can enjoy Minecraft Dungeons II together. Now you can easily jump into a friend’s game using party codes and have a blast playing the game. The big things to double check before you go are having an active online subscription on consoles and making sure cross platform play is toggled on in settings.
