In May 2018, Forbes reported that Savannah had partnered with Velana Colón as an investor and co-owner of K+ Organics. Savannah James explained her thinking to Forbes in 2018, saying, “In this day and age, there are so many more healthy alternatives for adults than we had… growing up, but it’s frustrating to still not see healthier options for kids. In March 2018, K+ Organics announced a new Lemonade flavor developed with Savannah. The company said the 16.9-ounce drink contained 80 calories and included vitamins B5, B6 and B12. The LeBron James Family Foundation partnered with the University of Akron in August 2015 to provide eligible students with a pathway toward a four-year college scholarship. The SportsRush previously reported that the foundation had pledged nearly $40 million toward scholarships for underprivileged students. Various reports has also described the LeBron James Family Foundation as having committed more than $40 million toward education initiatives. In 2016, she helped Akron high school seniors with prom dresses through her I PROMise Makeover initiative. That makes the $40 million figure part of a much bigger family effort rather than a standalone donation by Savannah herself. In December 2013, she opened The Juice Spot, a cold-pressed juice bar in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood. Eater Miami reported in January 2016 that Savannah struggled to manage the Miami location from afar after LeBron returned to Cleveland.
Because it fit her family’s celebrity profile, savannah James did not enter the children’s beverage business simply. Because her philanthropy has never stopped at one project, savannah’s role matters. Savannah James has built a public identity that goes well beyond being NBA legend LeBron James ’ wife. Her work in business and philanthropy has given her a platform of her own, with children and education often at the center of her efforts. The company focused on creating healthier sports drinks for young athletes. Her motivation came from a problem she noticed while raising three children who played sports.
