Recently, the 38 year old NBA icon was in China concerning his $400 million deal with the Chinese sneaker company, La-Ning. After ending his deal with Nike in 2013, the four time NBA champion Stephen Curry signed a $215 million deal with Under Armour for 10 years which was extended in 2023. Because i work really hard for them, but I don’t shy away from those moments.
A few weeks later, the four time NBA champion announced his contract with La-Ning.
Stephen Curry reflected on the mindset he has on court as he said, “I know that failure is a part of it. You control the energy that you put into whatever you’re doing, not just in sports, but in school, in life…” The Golden State Warriors’ star player continued, “If you can control those things and step good things after each other and be able to put yourself in a position where you’re ready for anything, that is the stuff that people don’t get to see. Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors’ star player, has been pretty smart when it comes to investing the fortune he has made through his on and off court deals. Amid this, he has reflected on his life. You have to be able to accept what happens out there on the court. The four time NBA champion added, “You control the work that you put in. Over the last few years, the NBA icon Stephen Curry has been more and more vocal about his mindset and how he also battles with imposter syndrome before he takes the court. In the meantime, many of the sneakers which the four time NBA champion wore on court after his contract ended, was auctioned off and the proceeds directly benefitted his charity, the Eat, Play & Learn foundation, which helps in providing quality education and nutritional food to children coming from underprivileged families in Oakland.
