Born and raised in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, the Chiefs tight end has become part of the ownership group of the Cleveland Guardians, a baseball team reportedly valued at $1.7 billion. Kelce signed a one-year, $12 million contract with Kansas City for his 14th season, keeping him in the game while retirement speculation follows him.
Speaking about the investment, Kelce said, “I have so much love for this city. Kelce’s latest venture marks a meaningful homecoming for the NFL star. “Everyone is there to play their role, and right now, I’m here to observe and learn and really to support the team and the city when and where I can. The Guardians investment adds another major name to Kelce’s expanding business portfolio. The Chiefs star already holds a stake in the Alpine Formula One team and has interests in an amusement park company, a mattress business, a beer brand and a restaurant. He also co-hosts the New Heights podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce. His baseball investment comes at a time when questions about his NFL future continue to surface.
