“Tim was my introduction to autism,” Kylie said in the Eagles Autism Challenge impact report, explaining that the connection stayed close to her heart and led her to take part in autism awareness work. Before meeting Kylie, Jason said he had little connection to the autism community. “The first time I met Tim, I knew that he was a big part of Kylie’s family,” Jason said in the Eagles Autism Challenge impact report. “I wanted to impress him and I wanted to make sure he liked me.”
Her relationship with Tim also helped Jason understand autism in a much more personal way. Meeting Tim changed that.
Since 2021, Jason and Kylie have used Team 62 to raise money for the Eagles Autism Foundation. Their sixth annual fundraiser in Sea Isle City on June 24, 2026, raised a record $1.26 million. The six Team 62 fundraisers have now generated more than $3.69 million for autism research and care programmes.
“We just talk about sort of his quirks,” Kylie said on CBS Mornings. Kylie said she keeps those conversations “very matter of fact. In a March 25, 2026 appearance on Cameron Oaks Rogers’ podcast, Kylie said the couple wants their daughters to grow up grounded and learn to become “good people.”
She then explained what she tells the girls when Tim does not immediately respond to them: “He still loves you, and he wants to be around you, but maybe he’s just not ready to talk. She wants her daughters to understand Tim as a person first, rather than reducing him to his diagnosis. That approach also fits the wider way Kylie and Jason talk about raising their children.
