Travis Kelce paid just under $6 million in 2023 for a gated estate in Leawood, Kansas, and the numbers on the property explain why it looks like a bargain. The Chiefs tight end got six bedrooms, six bathrooms and more than 16,000 square feet of living space on about three acres, according to TMZ and listing details. The house was first priced at $6.9 million before dropping to $5.9 million. Add a pool with a waterfall, a pickleball court and a mini golf course, and few other $6 million listings in the metro area come close. The old place is now estimated at just over $1 million, and nobody has reported whether he still owns it. His four-year, $57 million extension with Kansas City covered the football side. Sports Illustrated also reports a three-year podcast deal worth more than $100 million. Estimates of his net worth run from $30 million to $50 million, and one report said he paid with his own money and planned to live there alone. A $6 million house sits comfortably inside those numbers.
TMZ’s sources said the old home was too accessible, and other reports said fans had begun turning up outside once his relationship with Swift became public. Kelce did not leave a bad house. He left an easy one to find. The new address handles that with a gate and a larger lot. That matters for a player whose Chiefs contract, a podcast with his brother Jason and a high-profile partner keep him in front of cameras. So the price tag is big, but it is not reckless.
