Under the partnership, participating US federal agencies will be able to use OpenAI’s models through ChatGPT Enterprise for a cost of just $1 per agency for the year. OpenAI for Government has announced a new partnership with the US General Services Administration (GSA). The initiative was also confirmed by the company’s CEO, Sam Altman , who shared a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to announce the same.
In a blog post, the ChatGPT maker said that this initiative will run till next year. In his X post, Altman wrote: “We are providing ChatGPT access to the entire federal workforce! (for $1 a year per agency)” With this collaboration, the Microsoft-backed AI startup is making ChatGPT Enterprise available to the entire federal executive branch workforce for a nominal fee.

Custom training platforms and guided learning – either directly or through partner-led sessions – are also available to help employees explore and leverage AI.
