Modern Warfare 4 PC system requirements

On PC, the game will support a variety of hardware configurations, with minimum requirements including 8GB of RAM and a Radeon RX 470, GeForce GTX 970/1060, or Intel Arc A580. Only Intel and AMD processors with AVX support are supported at launch. ​ ​ Modern Warfare 4 will offer more than 800 customisation options covering graphics, gameplay, controls and interface settings. The game supports 1080p, 1440p, 4K and ultrawide displays. ​ Upscaling and frame-generation options include AMD FSR Redstone, NVIDIA DLSS 4.5, Intel XeSS 3 and Filmic SMAA T2X.

Ray tracing will be available across Campaign, Multiplayer and DMZ. ​ The PC version will also include an in-game Benchmark Tool that measures average FPS, CPU and GPU performance, ping and input latency. ​ ​ The game will introduce an Enhanced FOV option on PC that increases the field of view around the edges of the display while keeping the centre FOV unchanged. ​ Other changes include HDR10+ support, additional sharpness and shading settings, improved reflections and shadows, and weapon visual effects that are dynamically masked around the point of aim. ​ Depth of Field will be divided into World Depth of Field and Weapon Depth of Field. Weapon firing has also been changed so bullets originate from the weapon barrel rather than being randomly distributed within an area. ​ ​

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is set to release on October 23 for PC. Players who digitally pre-order the game can preload it from October 15 and get early access to the Campaign from October 16. Activision and the development teams at Infinity Ward and Beenox have also detailed the PC hardware requirements, graphics options and features coming with the game. ​ Players who pre-order Modern Warfare 4 on PC will get Campaign Early Access starting October 16, ahead of the full game’s October 23 launch. The pre-order package also includes the Hunter Killer Operator Pack and Gilded Pearl Camo Pack. ​ The Vault Edition adds the Hostile Alliance and Special Forces Operator Packs, Signature Weapon Collection, one season of BlackCell and a DMZ Deployment Bonus. ​ Modern Warfare 4 will introduce Collateral, a multiplayer mode aimed at players who enjoy Search and Destroy-style gameplay. Players also lose their loadout when eliminated, while earned money carries over between rounds. ​ ​ PC preloading begins on October 15 at 9AM PT for players who digitally pre-purchase Modern Warfare 4. Campaign Early Access begins on October 16, while the full game releases on October 23 at midnight local time. The game will require a broadband internet connection and DirectX 12 compatibility.

The game will be available to PC players through Xbox on PC, Battle.net and Steam. Teams alternate attacking and defending two bomb sites, and each player starts with a pistol. Players earn cash during rounds and can spend it on weapons, equipment, armour and perks. ​ Respawns, killstreaks, automatic health regeneration and custom loadouts are disabled.
