What update 2.5 adds to Cyberpunk 2077 from Edgerunners 2
Cyberpunk 2077 is receiving another free update. The update includes 40 cyberware designs, with each vendor offering sets connected to different manufacturers. Curated mod support is coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Achievements and trophies will be disabled when you use a modded save on consoles. Update 2.5 also adds a field-of-view slider on consoles, new clothing and hairstyles, 12 Minor Arcana tarot cards and additional Photo Mode frames. Technical changes include DLSS 4.5 support, performance improvements for ray tracing and PlayStation 5 Pro, updated HDR rendering and several quest and interface fixes.
CD Projekt Red announced Update 2.5, also called the Edgerunners 2 Update, shortly after the second season of “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners” arrived on Netflix on October 20. It also expands the main game with dual-wielding, console mod support, customisable cyberware, additional clothing and another Night City quest. Update 2.5 is set to launch on October 22 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, while Nintendo Switch 2 and the Mac App Store version will receive it several days later. The update introduces a side quest called “Clampdown”, which takes place before the events of the anime’s second season. The update also adds HKGN 102.0 FM, a radio station carrying music from the Edgerunners series. Netflix released all 10 episodes of “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2” on October 20. Four supporting perks let players build a dual-wielding combat style, while Photo Mode gets matching poses. Another quest, “Night City Tours,” places players on a guided tour led by city founder Richard Night.
The update connects the game to the anime with a new prequel quest, character-inspired clothing, and a radio station featuring music from the series. Players must complete *The Heist* and two gigs for Wakako before receiving the message that starts the mission. Several series actors will return to voice their characters. Completing the quest lets players obtain a five-piece clothing set based on King, one of the new season’s characters. The season follows a new group of mercenaries in a separate Night City story. A new Double Trouble perk lets players use two Power-category pistols or revolvers at once. CD Projekt Red describes it as a quieter mission containing a mystery and hidden details. Five new Glamdoc vendors will let players change the appearance and colour of their cyberware. Players can browse and download approved mods from the game’s main menu. You use AI every day.
