The Japanese gaming giant has released a new 11-minute trailer for the action RPG and confirmed a standalone State of Play gameplay deep dive for August 17. The standalone broadcast will focus entirely on Phantom Blade Zero and provide a more detailed look at gameplay ahead of its October 29, 2026 release on PlayStation 5 and PC, according to Sony and S-Game. Yen has been a creative consultant for Phantom Blade Zero since 2023, bringing his martial arts and action filmmaking skills into the game’s combat system, according to S-Game.
Soulframe Liang, the founder and CEO of S-Game, the developer and publisher of the upcoming game, has said the presentation will introduce “never-before-seen characters” while offering a closer look at the game’s combat systems and player builds. Sony has shared more gameplay footage of Phantom Blade Zero ahead of the game’s October launch.
