India-made rhythm platformer Suri: The Seventh Note arrives October 30
Backed by Sony’s PlayStation India Hero Project, it releases on PS5 and PC via Steam on October 30, and PS5 players who pre-order get 20% off starting today. The Standard Edition is priced at $19.99. The $24.99 Digital Deluxe Edition is the pick for anyone who wants to start early, since it unlocks on October 27, three days before launch.
The skin won’t be sold separately, so the Deluxe Edition is the only way to get it.
The PC version supports haptics too, but the studio says the PS5 version has been enhanced considerably. “It’s our first game and we wouldn’t be here without the gracious support of PlayStation India Hero Project,” says Glen Martin, CEO and game director at Tathvamasi Studios. Suri: The Seventh Note, a rhythm action platformer from Bengaluru-based Tathvamasi Studios, is now up for pre-order. It also bundles an exclusive Chandini skin and access to upcoming DLC. Tathvamasi has also dropped a new gameplay trailer on PlayStation’s official YouTube channel. Every jump and attack in Suri is tied to the beat, and the DualSense makes it physical Players step into the role of Ajira, a young girl searching for a magical fruit that can cure her mother’s illness. The fruit lies deep inside an island overrun by a corrupting rhythm. Getting through means moving, jumping and fighting in time with the music, while levels shift around every note. On PS5, the studio’s in-house Rhythm Haptics Engine is built specifically for the DualSense. A soft melody and a corrupted downbeat are meant to feel distinct through the controller, which lets players track the rhythm by touch as well as by ear. The art direction leans on Indian architecture and performance traditions, from Rajput forts to the colour and energy of Theyyam. Suri took close to three years to make. You use AI every day.
