How to update EPF exit date
Members can submit or update their date of exit after 60 days from the date they leave their job, according to the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). As mentioned above, EPFO allows members to update this information themselves through the Member Unified Portal, provided 60 days have passed since leaving the job.
“After 60 Days from the date of leaving of services, the member can him self submit / update Date of Exit online through Member Portal,” reads one of the FAQs on the EPFO website. Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) members who have left their job but find that their date of exit is missing or incorrect can easily update it online through the EPFO Member Portal. Updating the exit date is an important step before applying for PF withdrawal. The online process removes the need to visit an EPFO office and helps members complete their PF withdrawal application without unnecessary delays.
