The 15-inch MacBook Air is the proverbial final piece of jigsaw in the Mac puzzle.
The wave starts with a low-end 14-inch MacBook Pro running the new M6 chip and the first new iMacs in two years—both finished in development, both waiting on a fall launch window. The MacBook Neo, launched in March at $599 and since raised to $699, is getting an A19 Pro chip—the one in the iPhone 17 Pro—which likely pushes RAM from 8GB to 12GB. Also on the roadmap: 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Airs (J913, J915) by early next year, a redesigned base 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M7, and Mac mini and Mac Studio updates whose timing hinges entirely on memory-chip supply.
Apple is preparing to refresh every Mac it sells across this fall and the next two years, according to a Bloomberg report by Mark Gurman. Internally they carry the codenames J804, J833 and J834. Apple plans periodic colour refreshes to keep it moving.
