Apple iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max launched: Check India prices, availability and all other details
Apple has introduced its first-ever foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The foldable iPhone Duo features a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch outer display, while the iPhone 18 Pro models bring a new 48MP Fusion Main camera with variable aperture and longer battery life. Apple has also announced India pricing, storage variants and availability for the new models. All three models run on the A20 Pro chip, while the iPhone Duo is eSIM-only.
Connectivity: The iPhone 18 Pro models feature Apple’s N1 wireless chip with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread support. They also introduce the C2 cellular modem system, which Apple says provides faster uploads than C1X while consuming 15 per cent less energy.
Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max: India price and availability
Pre-orders for iPhone Duo begin October 16, with availability starting October 23 in India and more than 70 countries and regions. The phone will become available in another 28 countries and regions from October 30. iPhone Duo comes with an eSIM-only design worldwide. Apple says more than 500 carriers support eSIM, including Airtel, Jio and Vi. Both models come with iOS 27 and support Apple Intelligence and Siri AI. eSIM-only models are available in select markets, while India is among the countries included in the initial launch. Apple’s iPhone Duo, the company’s first foldable iPhone, opens to a 7.6-inch display, which is the largest ever on an iPhone. It folds down to a 5.4-inch outer Super Retina XDR screen that Apple says offers 90 per cent of the screen area of the iPhone 18 Pro. Both displays share the same aspect ratio for proportional scaling, support ProMotion, Always-On functionality and up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, and the inner display uses a nano-texture, glare-reducing finish with an under-display FaceTime camera. Performance: Both models are powered by Apple’s 2nm A20 Pro chip with a 6-core CPU, 7-core GPU and Dual 16-core Neural Engine. Apple says the GPU is up to 40 per cent faster than the A19 Pro, while the Neural Engine delivers twice the AI processing power. The phones also use a redesigned vapour chamber with three times more surface area than the previous generation, enabling up to 40 per cent higher sustained performance, according to Apple. Battery: The iPhone 18 Pro offers up to 36 hours of video playback on eSIM-only models, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max offers up to 45 hours. The iPhone 18 Pro can charge up to 50 per cent in around 15 minutes and wirelessly charge up to 50 per cent in 30 minutes. Apple says five minutes of wired charging on the iPhone 18 Pro Max provides around seven hours of video playback, while the phone can offer up to 30 hours of usage on a full charge based on its new battery usage model.
