Dyson has introduced the Airsmooth, its first dedicated hot air: The wider industry impact

Dyson has introduced the Airsmooth, its first dedicated hot air brush, designed to simplify everyday hair styling while minimizing high heat exposure. This innovative device integrates Dyson’s advanced airflow technology with features like PivotFlex and Anti-snag bristle systems, enabling users to dry, smooth, and lift their hair effectively.

The Airsmooth is engineered to cater to a variety of hair types, including straight, wavy, curly, and coily. It is particularly suitable for daily tasks such as smoothing, stretching curls and coils, and preparing hair for additional styling. Additionally, the device incorporates intelligent heat control technology, which continuously measures temperature 100 times per second during use, ensuring optimal styling conditions.

They can flex by up to 90 degrees while the tapered shape helps hair wrap and release during styling.

Dyson says this helps reduce snagging and breakage while improving comfort around the scalp. Dyson says the Airsmooth has a lightweight and ergonomic design for everyday use across different hair lengths. The Dyson Airsmooth uses a patented dual-bristle system designed to guide hair through the device. The anti-snag bristles feature a looped structure that can collapse to release strands more easily. The second system is called PivotFlex. Its bristles have an open-base design that helps control and diffuse high-pressure airflow. The device also supports universal voltage, allowing it to be used while travelling. Dyson positions it for use during routines such as getting ready for work, after a workout or while on holiday.
