The Sony FX5 price in India is Rs 5,61,990, while the FX5B is listed at Rs 5,09,990. Both are on sale from November 2, 2026. Sony claims 15+ stops of dynamic range in S-Log3, along with a Dual Gain mode and three base ISOs of 800, 4000 and 12800. It records 5K at up to 60 fps, 4K at up to 120 fps and Full HD at up to 240 fps. Open Gate uses the full 3:2 area of the sensor and works only when recording in X-OCN. Anamorphic de-squeeze is supported from 1.3x to 2.0x. It has 5-axis in-body stabilisation, with a roll correction range about twice that of the previous system, plus a Dynamic Active Mode for handheld work. The 3.5-inch touch LCD has about 2.76 million dots and is larger than the FX3’s. The camera takes the NP-SA100 battery (2670 mAh), and two USB-C ports and a wired LAN terminal handle power, timecode and remote control. The DVF-EL1 OLED viewfinder costs Rs 1,05,990. The XLR-H2 handle, priced at Rs 1,33,990, records four channels of audio at up to 96 kHz, 32-bit float. The VMC-BNCU1 timecode cable is Rs 13,990.
Sony has launched the FX5 in India, a new full-frame Cinema Line camera that brings Open Gate shooting and in-camera X-OCN RAW recording to the FX series for the first time. The camera uses a newly developed fully stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor with the BIONZ XR2 processor. Alongside X-OCN LT, the FX5 adds two new codecs, X-OCN C1 and C2, which cut file sizes for faster transfers. The body is compact with a flat top and screw holes for attaching accessories without a cage. A cooling fan sits in its own air chamber to keep long takes stable. Sony is also selling three accessories.
