Swiggy said customers will receive a ticket number to track the status of their complaint. Complaints submitted through either channel will be reviewed by Swiggy’s Food Safety Assurance Team, which the company said will review the issues on priority and take necessary action. Swiggy said the complaints will also help it identify repeated concerns and patterns across orders. Separately, Swiggy said it continues to work with its restaurant partners on food safety practices. The company has also added a ‘Food Safety’ channel under the Help section of its app for reporting such concerns. Customers have two options to report a food safety concern: the dedicated helpline or the new in-app channel. After the call, they will receive a link on their registered mobile number to provide additional information and upload pictures related to the issue. Through the app: Customers can open the Help section and use the dedicated ‘Food Safety’ channel. They can describe the concern in a short message and upload relevant pictures. The company plans to use this information to engage with restaurant partners and strengthen preventive measures related to food safety on the platform. This includes encouraging the use of quality ingredients, ensuring that menu descriptions accurately reflect ingredients, and periodically educating partners about hygiene practices and food safety standards.
