You can also use Siri to tell Apple Maps when a previously reported incident is no longer present. If someone in the passenger seat is handling the iPhone, you can submit a report directly through Apple Maps. If you aren’t currently following a route, tap your name or initials next to the search field in Apple Maps. Then select Reports > Report a New Issue > Report an Incident and choose the relevant option. Available categories include crashes, traffic, roadworks, road closures and hazards. The same touchscreen reporting options can also be available through Apple CarPlay. CarPlay provides access to selected iPhone functions through a vehicle’s infotainment system, allowing drivers to interact with navigation and other features without handling the phone.
