Ukraine struck two defence plants in Russia’s Tula and Voronezh regions, as well as oil facilities in the Krasnodar region.
Three separate strikes damaged a railway bridge and derailed nearly 30 carriages and wagons, the region’s acting governor said. Ukraine’s largest mobile service provider confirmed the attack and said there were no casualties.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on X that Ukraine struck two defence plants in Russia’s Tula and Voronezh regions, as well as oil facilities in the Krasnodar region. The attacks also targeted drone facilities in Kaluga and Oryol, which Zelenskyy said were used for “drone terror against Ukraine”. “We are consistently using our long-range capabilities to respond to Russian strikes”, Zelenskyy said on X, adding that Moscow must stop escalating the conflict. Among the three people killed in Kyiv was an Azerbaijani national, Zelenskyy said. Residential buildings were also hit in the Sumy, Rivne, Kharkiv and Odesa regions, while critical infrastructure was targeted in Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Khmelnytskyi and Zaporizhzhia, according to Zelenskyy.
A target in the Black Sea was also hit, he added. Ukraine also attacked railway infrastructure in Russia’s border region of Bryansk on Monday. On Sunday, Russian forces struck the Kyivstar headquarters in Kyiv.
