Hulcoop turns personal accessibility challenges into practical solutions, helping others overcome barriers and creating a more inclusive world through his work.

Hulcoop’s turning point came after he received support from The King’s Trust through its Enterprise programme, according to an AOL report. The experience helped him develop the confidence and practical skills to pursue an idea of his own, eventually leading to the creation of All Things Dotty.

The report also mentions that Hulcoop met King Charles at a King’s Trust event in London earlier this month, shortly after learning that he had won the award.

His determination has now earned Hulcoop The King’s Trust Young Achiever Award at the Pride of Britain Awards, according to the AOL report. He also established the UK Sight Loss Collective, which works as a liaison between government and public bodies on issues affecting people with sight loss. His efforts extend into education and community support as well. He offers free Braille tuition to people on low incomes, mentors young people as they enter the workforce and speaks at schools about his experiences. He also serves as an ambassador for sight loss charity Devon in Sight. The honour recognises young people who have overcome significant challenges with support from The King’s Trust and gone on to make a difference in the lives of others. The meeting also carried added significance as The King’s Trust approaches its 50th anniversary.
