Former US President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden has suggested that he “may have to” run for president in 2028, citing his commitment to the rule of law as his top qualification for the job.
In an upcoming interview with radio host John Catsimatidis, Hunter said he could consider a presidential bid if he received Catsimatidis’ endorsement. “If I get your endorsement, I may have to (run for president),” Hunter said, adding that one of his biggest concerns was the “50 million Americans that are still suffering with their addictions. Asked about his qualifications for the presidency, Hunter pointed to his commitment to the US Constitution and the rule of law.
Hunter had also joked about entering politics and running for president in 2028 in June.
I want the next president to commit to one thing: to adhering to the rule of law,” he said. “I love Gavin Newsom, personally,” he said. During an upcoming episode of California Governor Gavin Newsom’s programme, “This Is Gavin Newsom”, Newsom playfully introduced Hunter as “Presidential candidate Hunter Biden.”
“Here is my qualification for becoming president: if you believe in the Constitution of the United States of America that you swear to uphold and protect.
