JD Vance says Angie Nixon does not belong in US, Nixon claps back.
Florida Senate race got heated after Vice President JD Vance exchanged barbs with Angie Nixon, the Democratic candidate for the November 3, 2026 election. Vance headlined a high-octane campaign rally for Senator Ashley Moody, who was appointed as the senator in January 2025 to succeed Marco Rubio.
“It’s almost too easy to make fun of her,” Vance said at the rally in Lakeland. You don’t belong in America if those are your view,” Vance said. Calling Vance “the most ordinary man imaginable”, she condemned how Vance came to her home tate and told her to get out of America.
“What I love about Florida is that you have so many people who came to Florida , legally of course, from Latin America. People who know that socialism kills…when Angie Nixon calls herself a socialist, I think the right response is to say: ‘Then get the hell out of here. Angie Nixon reacted to Vance’s provocation and issued her statement on social media.
