The father (R) of the minor accused in the Tiger Shroff firing case is unaware of his son’s activities since he left home two months ago.
The father, who works as a daily-wage labourer and has a 50% disability, said the incident had left the family distressed. I lost my money in the process, but I never got it back, and the matter was never resolved.
MUMBAI: The father of the minor accused of opening fire at actor Tiger Shroff has said his son left home nearly two months ago and that he had no information about his activities or the people he was spending time with. Speaking to ANI, the father said his son worked as a tile layer before leaving home. He further said that his son had not told the family where he was going or what he planned to do. Recalling the earlier case, he said, “There was an earlier case involving motorcycle theft. I questioned him about it and told him that he should not have done such a thing. They were caught while travelling on a train, according to police.
He learnt about the firing incident only after receiving a call from the police. He was arrested some time later. The accused allegedly opened fire at the actor’s car. Three people, including a juvenile, have been apprehended by Kota City Police in connection with the incident.
He also spoke about an earlier motorcycle theft case in which his son was arrested. The firing took place at around 7pm on Sunday in the Juhu area when Tiger Shroff was leaving a football club, according to Mumbai Police.
“I am an uneducated man and studied only up to Class 4. I am also physically disabled, with a disability certificate stating that I have a 50% disability.
I take up whatever work I can find to support my family,” the father said. I earn my living through daily-wage labour.
