Drunk man kills 35yo son with axe after argument, flees
Meerut : A 55-year-old man killed his 35-year-old son with an axe following a dispute after they consumed alcohol together in Bachchi under Usahait police station limits in Badaun district on Friday night, police said. Stay updated with the latest Bareilly news.
Usahait SHO Devendra Singh said further legal action would be taken on the basis of a complaint. The body was found lying on a cot inside their house and covered with a sheet. Before fleeing early on Saturday, daily wager Naresh Jatav told locals that he had killed his son, following which they alerted police.
Villagers said the family’s house in Bachchi had remained locked for a long time and that the father and son visited it only occasionally. Circle officer Rahul Pandey said, “The body has been sent for post-mortem and teams are working to arrest the accused.” Ram Avtar was the only son among six sisters.
