Chennai: DMK president M K Stalin on Sunday said he doubted whether TVK govt would last

Chennai: DMK president M K Stalin on Sunday said he doubted whether TVK govt would last for even six months.

He recalled his statement after winning the 2021 assembly election that he would govern in a manner that people who did not vote for DMK would regret. He alleged that the public was gripped by fear due to a spate of murders, robberies and sexual assaults over the past two months.

We should work to put an end to this govt,” Stalin told party cadres at former DMK minister K K S S Ramachandran’s family event in Chennai. “I doubt if this govt will last even for six months. ” Stalin alleged that ever since TVK took charge, there had been price rise, misgovernance, drug peddling, burglary, murder and rape cases all over the state. Govt said it had created Singapenn Special Force to protect women. Now, the situation is so alarming that a separate force need to be created to protect the Singapenn force,” he said. Saying that chief minister C Joseph Vijay was terming DMK as an “evil force”, Stalin said people have realised who the evil force was. Not only those who did not vote for TVK are suffering, even those who supported TVK are regretting their decision,” he said. Later in the day, he posted a statement on X, alleging that the state has turned into “wild, wild Tamil Nadu under TVK rule”. “When will Mr Vijay shed the misconception that a chief minister’s job was merely to wear suits or silk dhotis and travel in a convoy,” asked Stalin.

“Be prepared to remove this govt. “Not a day passes without murders, rapes and abductions. Children go missing. “But now the situation is opposite.
