Mumbai: The Oct 18 firing at actor Tiger Shroff was allegedly the third attempt by the shooters to target him, with the accused claiming during interrogation that they had conducted reconnaissance of several Bollywood actors before zeroing in on Shroff, police sources said.

The three shooters — Phool Singh (19), Rehan Ansari (19) and Rithik Mahato (22) — told investigators that in the first week of Oct, they allegedly received instructions from Lawrence Bishnoi gangster Anil Pandit to identify potential targets, including actors Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan, according to sources. The police are now looking for the auto-rickshaw driver so that they can make him a witness in the case.
